Encouraging Health & Fitness

Our students all have a weekly lesson with a Physical Education teacher in our fantastic gymnasium, as well as daily fitness and classroom Physical Education lessons.

Victor Harbor R–7 School students benefit from onsite access to a heated swimming pool and with each having 10 swimming lessons there per year.

The District Aquatics unit is based on site at this school and from Year 3, students have access to a very popular Aquatics program, which includes boogie boarding, surfing and sailing.

Our School Sports Day and Yr3-7 swimming carnivals are key events on our school calendar along with our school fun run, PE week and involvement in programs such as Eat Well Be Active, Eat a Rainbowand the Premier's Be Active Challenge.

Our staff are committed to our students sporting success and encourage them to fly high in a range of sporting arenas including basketball, football, netball, cross country, athletics, swimming and hockey.

We are proud of the achievements of our Old Scholar Annette (Nettie) Edmondson. A rising star in the world of Cycling, Nettie won Silver in the Omnium and Team Pursuit Events at the World Track Cycling Champions in Aprill 2012 and then in July, took out Bronze in the Omnium at the 2012 London Olympics.
